Pew rejoins Michael Shank Racing to contest the full 2010 Rolex Sports Car Series season, sharing the Daytona Prototype driving duties with Ozz Negri. Pew took his first Rolex Sports Car Series race win in 2008, adding to a list of motorsports accomplishments spread across a wide variety of categories. Pew’s motorsports career is a logical extension of his off-shore pursuits, having sailed over 100,000 miles throughout the North Atlantic and North and South Pacific Oceans with his wife Stephanie. http://johnpewracing.com/
Don't let Negri's quiet, humble manner deceive you-he's one of the fastest drivers out there. With a pedigree that includes rubbing elbows, and sometimes wheels, with guys like Barrichello, Coulthard, and de Ferran, Negri has proven quick in anything he's ever driven. Negri put in a signature drive to close out the 2006 season, battling through the darkness to hold a bevy of chasers at bay and take his first Rolex Series victory at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. And as many in the paddock will attest, it isn't just Negri's lightning quick lap times that are impressive-he's also a highly sought-after driver coach, and clearly knows how to get the most out of a race car while making sure there's something in reserve for the finish. A father of two, Brazilian-born Negri has made his home in Miami. After taking pole position for the 2008 Rolex 24 At Daytona, Negri scored another decisive win driving with Patterson at NJMP to victory. Negri will change co-drivers in 2010 as he and John Pew partner in the No. 60 Crown Royal XR Ford-Riley. http://www.negrijr.com/
Michael Valiante joined Michael Shank Racing as co-driver with John Pew for the 2009 Rolex Sports Car Series season and will open 2010 co-driving with Brian Frisselle. Regarded as one of the best karting drivers in North America, Michael quickly made his way through the motorsports ranks. He made his major league debut in the Champ Car World Series with an attention-getting drive, tested impressively with several Champ Car teams and signed to race a prototype in the famed 24 Hours of Daytona in early 2005. Valiante joined Michael Shank in 2009, and scored multiple podiums with co-driver John Pew as the No. 6 machine was a regular fixture atop the timing sheets. Valiante returns to the team in 2010 with another hungry young racer for a co-driver as he shares the cockpit with Brian Frisselle. http://www.michaelvaliante.com/ |

Even though he is the youngest member of the Michael Shank Racing driver line-up, Brian has the most Rolex Sports Car Series race wins to his credit with four victories with two different teams to his credit. Frisselle had a break-out 2008 season, putting Ford power into victory lane twice. In 2009, Ford, Frisselle, and strong results were once again synonymous as he charged to third in the driver team championship standings. Brian has two previous career race starts with Michael Shank Racing, but the 2010 season will mark his first run with the squad in the Rolex 24 At Daytona as he looks to get a strong start to the 2010 season with co-driver Michael Valiante with a big finish at Daytona. http://frisselleracing.com/ |

Mark Patterson is a successful businessman who has taken his competitive mindset to the track as he has leapfrogged his way to the top levels of the sport in his typical relentless pursuit of victory. Running a limited schedule in 2005, Patterson scored a podium in just his third start with Negri before having a break-out season in 2006 as Patterson scored a win at Miller Motorsports Park to finish the year. Patterson has taken a podium result in every season of Rolex Sports Car Series competition that he has participated in, including another overall race win at New Jersey Motorsports Park in 2008. Patterson became the first time two-time winner of the Jim Trueman Award in 2009 after finishing the year with yet another podium result at Homestead Miami Speedway.
